3 Steps To Wealth

Wealth can mean many different things to many different people. For example to a poor person, wealth can mean making an extra $1,000 or two to help cover those bills. And to a wealthy it can mean tucking away a million dollars into your family trust fund. Whatever the case may be, we would all like to earn more money and have some degree of wealth. Now, I will be the first one to say that wealth is NOT the key to happiness. However, let’s be honest about reality. If you have the choice of either make less or more money why not make more?

Below are a few quick tips on how to get started on your road to wealth.

1. Stay clear from negative thoughts and negative people. It is important to keep your mind focusing on the positive outcomes that you want in life. It can hurt so much when our friends, family and loved ones hear about our goals to turn our lives around and improve ourselves, only to mock or discourage us from doing so.

So how do you deal with this? Recognize that most times, they are only doing this because they care for you. They don’t want you to get hurt or feel disappointed if things don’t work out. These people aren’t being negative on purpose, they just don’t understand what you want to achieve because the idea is not their own and didn’t come from them. Success and wealth requires a lot of faith and desire and other people may not share in your belief.

If possible, avoid these people in the early stages of your goals. In fact, unless your venture requires a substantial investment, which means borrowing a large amount of money from a family bank account, it might be best not to mention anything at first. People are more inclined to try to stop you before you start rather than after you’ve already started. In fact, you’ll discover that once you’ve got some momentum going, a lot of people will actually start to encourage you!

2. Change your way of thinking and reach for BIG things, not small things. We have been taught to underestimate in order to overachieve. Think about any business that you have worked for. When a company sets out to make million dollars for the year, do they set a goal of $100,000 with anything more than that being considered gravy? The answer is "NO." Instead they might set a goal of 1.2 million dollars because even if they come up a little short they will still come closer to the original goal amount than if they had lowered the goal simply so they could beat it.

In addition, did you know that it’s actually easier to achieve more "far-fetched" goals than it is "realistic" goals? That’s simply because most people out there are trying to achieve "realistic" things. So there’s just more competition. When Bill Gates was getting Microsoft off the ground, how many people do you think were trying to create the largest Software Company in the world? Probably not that many. On the other hand how many people do you think where trying to "get by" and land a "decent job?" Now, do you think that many of these people were often competing with each other for these "decent jobs?" The point is that don’t waste your time reaching for small things that everyone else is reaching for.

3. Take inspired action! All great actions and achievements in life begin with a dream or vision. However, I hate to break it to you, but if you sit on the sofa visualizing or dreaming about attracting wealth all day, but you don’t actually do anything, you won’t get anywhere. Although it might be nice, the reality is that there is no magical dump truck full of gold coins that’s going to stop by your home and drop its load on your front lawn if only you focus on it hard enough.

Think about it for a moment. Almost every single business on the planet (including non-profit businesses) offers something of value to those who need it. So it only makes sense that the only way you can make a lot of money is to offer something of value to people who need it. But the best part is that it doesn’t need to be something new or unique. Look at just about any product or service and you will most likely find that there is more than one company making the same product or offering the same service.

For example is there more than one car manufacture, more than one real-estate company or more than one fast food burger place? Imagine how things might be if people said, "I can’t make cars, sell homes or sell hamburgers because there is a company already doing this." Did the creator of Facebook say, "I can’t create it because there is already another website called MySpace?"

So, you simply need to find something that brings you enjoyment and that you are passionate about and run with it. If you love painting, become an artist and sell your paintings everywhere. If you love strumming your guitar, gather a few friends and start a band. Who knows, you might just find that a lot of other people like your music too and before you know it you’re recording and selling music to people who enjoy it.

The point here is that you don’t have to have the entire path figured out in order to get started…but you DO have to get started! Again Microsoft and Facebook today are most likely evolved into very different companies than what they originally had set out to be in the very beginning. When you feel that inner nudge pushing you to do something, do it! This is exactly how I started Positive Change Hypnosis. And when you do get started simply let the path reveal itself along the journey to success.
